Day 5 (07/18/2001) Utah/Colorado Trip

We started the morning with a second trip to The Garden of the Gods Park while we were waiting for our 10:30 Bus ride to the town of Cripple Creek, Colorado. Cripple Creek is now a busy gambling town lined with many casinos. I limited myself to $30.00 of losses. Once back in Colorado Springs we took a tour of the United States Air Force Academy. After visiting the museum, driving around the base, and watching flight training, we continued along with our journey. We traveled North along I-25 to Castle Rock where we caught Highway 86 which took us north to Highway 470 (Denver’s bypass) which took us to near Golden, Colorado where we put up stakes for the night in the Table Mountain Inn.
