Day 4b (07/17/2001) Utah/Colorado Trip

We took the 4 PM three hour round trip Cog Railroad to the top of Pikes Peak. With temperatures in the city at between 85-90° it was a pleasant surprise to have temperatures at the top in the 50's or lower. At and elevation of 14,110 feet above sea level, I made two ham radio contacts one driving along I-70 in Denver, CO and one in downtown Colorado Springs. Below pictures are displayed from the Cog Railroad trip up, and pictures taken from the top.
