Sun & JenDay Conures as Pets

My friend Pat has owned a 3 year old JenDay Conure as a pet for a couple of years. Hand Raised
Conures are really neat birds. His is trained to Step Up, Fall Back and Play Dead, and
to raise a wing to be pet underneath. His JenDay Conure is located in the Photos below
on the right side. I enjoyed playing with his so much; I decided I had to have one. I
purchaed the Sun Conure (Pictured on the left in all photos) at the Atlanta Bird Show in
the Spring. The bird I purchased had just been attacked by another bird, so had a damaged beak
and a very agressive personality. But will lots of loving and training from Pat and his family,
the bird named "Sunny" has now been seperated and is on its own with me. The bird which before would not even
perch on your finger, now will pirch, allow full handed peting and will come and get kisses (and spit) from you .
