Savannah During the Day
Segment Three (01/28/2006)

With the top down on our rental car, we took to the streets around Savannah, Georgia. First we abandoned Bay Street for a drive along the cobblestone roadway along the historic shops and the Savannah River of the Savannah Waterfront. Driving past many shops, bars, and even underneath the Hilton Motel which tunnels the cobblestone roadway was an exciting experience. Next we took to the highway to cross the suspension bridge across the Savannah River into the State of South Carolina. The photos from the drive are represented below. Although not captured in photos, Savannah also offers many town squares which add excitement and green space to this historic city which we drove past during all of our outings. Once we crossed the Savannah River, back into Georgia, we decided it was time for a road trip to the Okefenokee Swamp, swamp photos follow on the final page. Enjoy..
