Downtown Mobile, AL:
Welcome all to another virtual online tour. On July 10th, 2009 the week was a whirlwind
tour. On Wednesday Evening after working during the day, I left for Nashville, TN arriving
at the hotel at 11:30 PM. The next morning I had three meetings with our customer. The
three meetings were a Post Walk in Antioch, TN, and two Pre Walks in Nashville and Franklin,
TN, so after a full day I drove down to Mobile, AL. I arrived in Mobile at around 11PM
Eastern Time and had to bed down for an 7:00 AM meeting in Fairhope, AL. Fairhope, AL
is a nice community just across the bay on the Eastern side from Mobile. After the meeting
at 10 AM, before I headed home to Atlanta to complete the 48 hour 1,058 mile business trip,
I decided to take in a Mobile, AL Site: Mobile AL Memorial Battleship Park in the Mobile Bay.
I was impressed with this tour. Even with the sweltering Mobile Heat and Humidity it was
well worth the stop. This page is going to show the photos which I took around Mobile, AL
at traffic lights or off to the side of the road. Upcoming Pages will contain photos of the
Battleship Park Grounds, Inside the Aircraft Hanger and aboard the Battleship. This park
even has a Submarine to walk through. Closter phobia people need not attend the Submarine,
but the Battleship was bigger and had much more room than I expected. I am also happy I
stopped in, as I returned to Atlanta just at the end of rush hour instead of in the middle
of rush hour. Enjoy the virtual tour beginning with Mobile, AL below!
