Midwest Road Trip

Driving around Indianapolis, IN:
After the Indianapolis 500 Race, we hopped in the car and traveled the highways, byways and
streets of the city of Indianapolis, Indiana. It is a very nice and clean, modern city; a
possible good relocation place. Once done with the tour, we continued east on Interstate 70
through Dayton, Springfield and Columbus, Ohio. The only thing that we were interested in
seeing was the Air and Space Museum in Dayton, but being late Sunday we came through there
too late. No pictures were taken of any of these cities. The original plan was to head
south after Columbus, Ohio towards home. But being the crazy travelers we were, I canceled
the hotel reservations and we decided to hit Cleveland on the way home. Yes, I know Cleveland
is not on the way home, but this is no different than hitting Montgomery, AL on the way home
from Nashville, TN or Charleston, SC on the way home while being in Greenville like I have
done for work and we were so close. This modification to the trip will now take me from the
Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico as far as travels. Worth the four-five hours of driving.
After Driving around Columbus, Ohio we headed up north on Interstate 71 towards Cleveland
arriving there at dusk, where we stayed the night in a Hampton Inn in the Downtown District
blocks from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…One thing that really impressed me about the
entire Midwest was how beautiful the farmland, meadows and rolling hills looked. Very
Picturesque!
