Midwest Road Trip
(Day Two: Saturday, May 24 - Page 06)

Driving around St. Louis, MO:
After the Beer tour, we got in the car and drove all about the city. Covering most of Interstates 55, 70, 44 and parts of I- 270, the beltway. Interstate 64 was closed for reconstruction. I remembered an interstate in St. Louis was a double decked bridge through town, and as I did not easily find it, I-64 must have been the road. St. Louis had some really nice parts of town and the riverfront area was very nice and full of many young people and tourist. I was impressed by St. Louis and enjoyed my stay.

Across the River, East St. Louis was a bit of a different story, however some improvements have take place since the early 90’s… One area of abandoned buildings were leveled and turning into guess what: a Casino. The Casino Queen Casino was nice and the payouts were the best I have ever experience in a gambling casino. For me $20 dollars in $74.50 out and my trip mate did even better.
