Midwest Road Trip
(Day Two: Saturday, May 24 - Page 05)

Budweiser Brewery - St. Louis, MO:
From the Arch, we went to see the Budweiser Headquarters and Brewery located just across I-55 from where we stayed the night. I will admit, I did not want to waste the time seeing this as I am not a big beer drinker, but this tour was AWESOME. It was probable the most detailed and thorough plant tour I have ever taken. It was even a bit better than the Coors tour in Golden Colorado. No money was spared in the building and maintaining of this beer production facility and for a FREE tour and FREE beers at the end of the tour, this was quite a set up… Even non drinkers would be impressed by the manufacturing plant. I have been to Jack Daniels facility in Lawrenceville, TN; Jim Bean in Kentucky and even did a college paper on the nasty local brewery located off Fulton Industrial which paid homeless in beer in exchange for work (at the time), but this is top dog. At the end of the tour, we sat in a lounge a got to drink the common favorites along with some new brands about to hit the shelf. A must see, I will probably have a Bud or Two. Enjoy.
