Chicago/Milwaukee Trip
Paul J. Lossner
Welcome to another Vacation Online Tour. The summer of 2008 contained a lot of travel, not only for work,
but also for pleasure, weddings, and fun. One awesome trip was the four day, three night trip to Chicago, Illinois
and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I will be honest with you I wanted to see Chicago, but was not expecting to fall in love
with this very active city. Lately during trips, we have gone to areas which have not had a lot going on, or nothing
to do (aka Cheyenne, Wyoming), so I was very surprised at the very happy, friendly and laid back people who lived
in this busy Chicago. Being from Atlanta, all I hear is how rotten cities are up North and in the Midwest, with decayed
buildings, unfriendly people and dangerous areas; when in actuality these cities are very pleasant. Now I do understand
that Chicago is miserable in the winter, but it is absolutely delightful in the summer. Chicago also has a lot of green
space in the various neighborhood parks and of course along Lakeshore Drive and Lake Michigan. Coming from Atlanta,
the booming city of the South, had nothing to compare to the construction and building of Chicago, which appears to
have a very healthy economy, unlike what I expected. On this trip, Patrick and I spent two nights in Chicago and one
Night in Milwaukee. We saw a lot of attractions and had to rush through them to get the itinerary completed, so many
things were fit in at different times. So, for this trip webpage I will not classify the pictures and events based on the
days they were taken, but instead into what the pictures contain. The first two pages contain pictures of the Chicago
Downtown and Lake Front Area. Then we will explore the Chicago Architectural Boat Tour, Sears Tower, the Museums
and the Hotels. I will wrap up this trip with photos from Milwaukee.
Have Fun!!
