To finalize the Colorado and Wyoming Trip, we spent the final night in the Plains Hotel in the heart of Downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming. This 130 room hotel was built in 1911 and was known in its day as being one of the most elegant hotels between the coasts. Early business came from traders and people heading to and from the West. Current guests include Cheyenne Business guests, Frontier Day guests, along with tourists accessing Yellowstone Park. When we were here, this full service hotel, along with the city of Cheyenne seemed pretty desolate, however when you stay here, GET the ROOM SERVICE for Breakfast. The food is great and cheap…Enjoy Cheyenne.

On Monday, we left Cheyenne around 9 AM to make sure we made it back to Denver in time for our afternoon flight. A small snow storm was coming in, so we wanted to beat the weather. We did not stay out of the snow, but made it through the storm with no problem. 70 Miles South in Denver, the weather was warmer and sunny. After a quick bite for lunch with Bill Caskey we flew home to Atlanta. I will miss the beauty of Colorado and will have to return. I also have a envy for the residents of Wyoming with their slower, simpler, traffic free way of life.

I Enjoyed this Trip!!
