AZ, UT, NM Road Trip

Santa Fe, New Mexico:
After staying the night in a Albuquerque area Days Inn and filling up on hotel breakfast we set
out for Santa Fe, NM (we will tour Albuquerque on the way back through). We headed up
Interstate 25 to the Northeast about 50 Miles. We stopped at a burrito stand for a second breakfast.
It was real good, then we drove around the city looking at the different neighborhoods, Apartments
Dwellings, and the downtown Arts District. Santa Fe was a very clean and very urban planned city.
Most buildings were built in the Adobe style even the McDonalds. The town was worth seeing,
especially if you are interested in the many arts museums downtown, however not being interested
in that stuff, we hit the road back to the Southeast back down Interstate 25 to Albuquerque. Read
the interesting story below which describes an incident while driving back down below.
While heading back Southwest on Interstate 25 a rather interesting incident took place. I-25 is four lanes (2 heading each direction) and while driving just above the 75 mile per hour speed limit along with most of the traffic, I see two cars weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed of at least 90 MPH in the rear mirror. The two BMW drivers reminded me of driving in the Fair, Driver Courteous, and Friendly City of Atlanta. I said to the others in the car “Hey, those two drivers are driving like they are from Atlanta!” They look back, laugh and say yeah they do. Sure enough, seconds later, they overtook us. Once car was from Fulton County and the other was from Gwinnett County, of Metro Atlanta. Atlanta drivers are so aggressive, so fast, and so uncaring about others on the road that they can easily be picked out in a driving lineup of cars. From this point on, it has become a game to pass many hours of driving for work and I have been fairly accurate in spotting drivers such as these while driving through Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama. I am glad I learned to drive in Atlanta, as I can now handle drivers in any city, Atlanta has some of the worst, aggressive drivers! On this trip just like all others, I tone my driving down as this driving style startles local drivers who are not use to the tail gating and quick lane changes with little room for error.. It is also weird to run into fellow Georgians on the other side of the United States, while driving along an interstate that does not connect to the Atlanta Region at all. They are on a definite road trip and probably got there in two days!
