AZ, UT, NM Road Trip

Four Corners Monumnet AZ/CO/NM/UT:
From Monument Valley, we turned back to the Northeast on US 163 to Bluff, UT where we headed East
along 162 into Southwest Colorado, to meet up US 160 which was our access to the Four Corners.
The four corners area is the only Point in the United States where Four States meet at one point.
I was literally in four states at the same time! I have to admit, I thought this was a National
Monument so I could add another stamp in the National Parks Book, but actually this monument is
run by the local Navajo Indian tribe. Here there are also booths to buy authentic Native Indian
Jewelry and other keepsakes. This location is a little off the beaten path, but if in the area
it may be worth checking out. From the Four Corners we continued south on US 160 to catch US 64
(back to Tennessee? NO!) towards Albuquerque. US 64 took us East through the towns of Shiprock
and Farmington; where in Bloomfield we caught the four lane US-550 Southeast to Albuquerque,
New Mexico. Only one photo on this page was taken on this leg of the trip, as most of this trip
was driven in the dark. But there did not appear to be much out in this area of the state.
Outside of Moonlight, there were very few lights, except around the towns of Nageezi and Cuba.
The photo was taken of a real freaky looking rock formation, which was reminiscent of scary castles
in old cartoons. It was quite a distance to the south of where we were and the camera did not
capture a lot of detail.
