AZ, UT, NM Road Trip

Day Three:
Welcome to Day Three! This for me is the best day of the trip, because of the beauty and openness which we saw during
this day of Travel. We started the Day on Highway 24 in Teasdale and headed East through the Capital Reef National
Park (section in RED). This is one of my most favorite places on Earth. Nothing but Red Mesas and Desert Landscape as
far as the eye can see (130 miles or more?). From there we headed south along Highway 95 to weave through the Mesas
and Desert Caverns (section in BLUE). Then we came across the brownest Mesa landscape along with the Greenest looking
water in the Glen Canyon Area which was formed by the Glen Canyon Dam seen on earlier pages (section in GREEN). In
MAROON we stopped at the Natural Bridges National Monument. Then the section in DARK BLUE is just phenomenal,
along with the YELLOW drive through the Valley of the Gods. Section in LIGHT BLUE heads you towards Monument
Valley, AZ where that area has been memorialized in numerous Commercial and Movies because of it remoteness and
beauty. Finally in DARK GREEN we turn back towards Mexican Hat to head towards the Four Corners Area. From
there we continue into New Mexico towards Albuquerque where the route will be show later on a map.
Capital Reef National Park, UT:
But now that we have the day’s itinerary lets get traveling. We left the Days Inn and Headed East on Highway 24 where
just outside of Teasdale, Utah, we entered the Capital Reef National Park. This is the second place where I have to ask
“Am I Still on Earth?” This southwest theme is so expansive and undisturbed that outside of the roads you would think
you have been teleported to another planet. There are miles where you won’t even see telephone poles. Wow that is
out there. The photos below are from my fourth favorite place on Earth so far and were taken from the first part of
the section in RED. Believe it or the pictures get even better as little did I know my first and second places on Earth
were awaiting me later today.
