Day 3 (10/22/2004) Stop 8
Driving to Los Angeles

We have now arrived at day three in our journey, and we are today going to start the largest travel in our journey, the 381 mile journey from Phoenix, Arizona to Los Angeles, California. The first third of the trip commenced through a moderate rain storm as a large cold front moved east. This storm brought record snows to the mountains just north of our travels, this is the reason there are very few photos during the beginning leg of this trip. During this journey, we traveled Interstate-10 west from Phoenix passing through Buckeye, Blylthe, Palm Springs, and finally Riverside, California. On this page are mainly the early photos of the trip, However interesting points such as the Joshua Tree National Park and the Palm Spring/Riverside windmills, while on this leg of the trip, these locations have been assigned their own WebPages, which both directly follow this page. Note: the old gas station located off the Interstate, we were trying to find a local ghost town, but decided not the waste the time on the effort.
