Day 5 (10/24/2004) Stop 15
Poway, California

Saturday morning we left our Holiday Inn Express in San Clemente and traveled south along Interstate 5. After a brief heart attack at LegoLand’s entry cost, we immediately retuned to our Southern vector. Just south of Oceanside, we exited east onto the State freeway-78 towards Escondido where we picked up Interstate-15 south towards the city Poway. My trip cohorts lived a time in Poway and wanted to visit their previous hood. The photos below are from around the Poway area and a very peaceful oasis called Lake Poway, where fish and ducks swim in harmony of the very mild climate. After about an hour in Poway, we progressed south along Interstate-15 towards downtown San Diego. Our next stop was no other than the world’s greatest San Diego Zoo.
