Day 3 (10/22/2004) Stop 10
Driving thru Palm Springs

To those individuals from the southeast, these windmills were a surprise on the trip. I was aware that Europe used windmills as a renewable energy source, but I was unaware that any of these were in operation in the United States. I can understand why they have not widely caught on here, the windmill towers are large and the farms are big, but what the hell, lets use them in Georgia to replace our dirty coal fired power plants (Oh, Georgia rarely has steady wind, oops!)!.
